Meet the Coaches

Head Coach-Kyle Kinyon

Coach Kyle has been involved in swimming from the age of 5 with his local YMCA. He continued competitive swimming throughout high school and was named team captain his senior year. After high school, Kyle swam for Wayne State University where he was a part of the GLIAC championship team. Kyle began his coaching career in the Farmington area in 2012 and continues to work as the head coach of the Harrison-Farmington Thunderbirds and is also the assistant coach for The Farmington Phoenix. Kyle is looking forward to the opportunity to build on a great tradition at Beechview, bringing a philosophy that includes learning proper stroke technique, competitiveness, and overall team unity.

Head Assistant Coach Rachel Paul

Rachel Paul is currently attending Oakland University where she is studying Nursing. She began swimming for the Beechview Breakers when she was 13 and right away fell in love with the sport. In high school she swam on the Harrison Girls Swim Team. Her favorite events were 50 freestyle and the 100 backstroke. Rachel began her coaching career last year as the assistant coach for the Harrison Girls Swim Team and then assistant coaching the Harrison-Farmington Phoenix Boys Swim Team last year and this past year. Rachel is excited to be coaching at Beechview again. She is looking forward to helping younger swimmers learn to love this sport as much as she does and seeing all the progress everyone makes this summer while having lots of fun in the process. Go Breakers!
